We work very closely with other voluntary sector organisations in the area to avoid duplication, identify and attempt to address gaps in provision.
SSYCC is an active member of Hendon Youth Initiative, a forum of managers of local youth projects who regularly meet to share information and practice, organise joint events and training, to maximise resources and avoid duplication.
The organisation is represented on 'The All Together Consortium' for children and young people and families in Sunderland and East Area Network where we meet to share information opportunities, knowledge and practice.
The centre currently works in partnership with local school in developing alternative curricular activities and programme specific pieces of work for young people who are at risk of exclusion from school.
We work closely with and have good relationships with other organisations such a Connexions, training providers and potential employers.
